Fundraising Letter

Hope Entrepreneurs,

So far, you have been doing a great job. The administration and I have been very impressed with the amount of hard work and diligence that you have been putting into the Christmas Tree Project.

Now, it's crunch time. We still have around 200 trees to sell, and we have to move these before Christmas Eve--less than a month away!

So, here is what we are going to do. We are going to send sponsor letters. Each of you will create a letter requesting that a friend or family member sponsor you in this entrepreneurship project. You will sign and send out five of these to people you know. Today we will send them out, and then tomorrow we will follow this up with a phone call.

It is very important that the letters follow an effective format. As well, you need to be specific. Ask your sponsors for a specific time to come pick up their trees from the lot. Then, make sure that you are working during that time. The fact that you are willing to meet them to personally help them select their tree will speak volumes--not only about you as a person, but also about CHA.

Keep up the hard work. Remember your goals! Next week is review, and then comes the final exam!

The Business Plan Template

Greetings, Entrepreneurs,

This is where you will find your business plan template.

Remember: pages 4 and 7 are due on Tuesday. To complete them, follow the following steps:

Business Plan Template for Economics Class1. Download the template (click here).

2. Edit pages 4 and 7 with the correct information. When you are finished with page 7, there should be no more questions on it. The page should only have your answers on it, restating the questions using complete sentences. If you have questions about this, I can help you.

3. Turn in these pages on Tuesday. We will have time in class to finish them. However, the next four pages will be due soon. So, time is off the essence.

Start picking up the pace. These next seven weeks are going to be challenging, but worth it. You are going to learn a lot.

Regards,

Mr. Settecase

Welcome to the Life of an Entrepreneur

Welcome, students, to your first day as an business owner. By now you know about Hope's Christmas Tree Project, and you are almost as pumped as your teacher to start selling those Christmas trees.

Before you can sell them and earn your company big points, however, you need to develop a plan. To do that, follow these instructions.

1. Click on this link.

2. Read the article.

3. Once you have read the article, click here.

4. Download the Word document. Give the document a title (your team name). Answer the questions and create your own marketing plan.

5. Print two (2) copies, and bring the marketing plan with you to class on Friday, Oct. 15. This is absolutely essential.

If you have any questions about the assignment, you can always talk to me after class.

Happy selling, Econ Entrepreneurs.

Regards,

Mr. S.
